Q: I’m not receiving messages even though I enrolled in the service. Why?
A: There are a few possibilities.
- Your mobile carrier may block short codes. These are special telephone numbers — usually five or six digits long — that are used to send text messages. Please contact your mobile carrier to make sure they allow short codes.
- You may have a mobile account with a carrier we don’t support. We support major US carriers. Compatible carriers include, but are not limited to: Verizon Wireless, AT&T, Sprint, Boost, Virgin Mobile USA, T-Mobile, Metro PCS.
- Your carrier may have suspended or deactivated your mobile number. Please contact the carrier to verify your account’s status.
- You switched from one mobile carrier to another, or changed your phone number. When this happens, we automatically un-enroll customers from this service.
- We haven’t generated any new bills for you, and a payment reminder wasn’t warranted because your bill was paid more than five days before the due date.
- You weren’t enrolled in the service because you didn’t respond to your invitation email within 60 days of receipt, or you didn’t reply YES to your invitation text within 48 hours.
- You opted out of receiving certain messages, which may also opt you out of certain billing messages.
- You enrolled in recurring automatic payments (via EFT or credit/debit card), you are not enrolled in Paperless Billing, or your Home policy is on a mortgagee-pay plan.
